Just wanted to write a little blog to say Happy Easter to everyone.
My kids were up early, excited that "something" might have came to the house last night. They woke me up and demanded that I get up and come downstairs. So, I did. Even if it was slowly. (half to wake up, half to make them wait a little)
The Easter egg hunt lasted about, oh, I don't know. Maybe 2.4 minutes. Just over a hundred plastic, candy or money-filled eggs. I wish they would clean up the house like that.
My wife was already up cooking before that. Ham, stuffed cabbage, potato and macaroni salad, kielbasa, city chicken, etc. Turned out to be a feast. We all ate well, and more than once. In between nibbles, I took the girls to the park for an hour. I couldn't believe that more people weren't there, though it was nice to have the place almost to ourselves.
I talked to a couple of people throughout the country today, too. Mostly via Twitter (follow me @EricMichaelRE)
So, whether you're eating turkey or spending the day on the beach, I hope each and every one of you have a very Happy Easter!
